About Me

My name is Joe Kuttler. I've worked with houseboats in northern Minnesota in Voyageurs National Park, tended to vegetables, fruit trees and livestock on a regenerative farm outside of my hometown of Baltimore, and helped build timber-frame houses in the Rocky Mountains.

My short fiction has appeared in Mystery Weekly Magazine and in the Canyon Voices Literary Journal. The Happy Hotline is my debut novel. I also blog for the Times of Israel and wrote opinion articles for the University of Maryland's newspaper, The Diamondback.

I've been lucky enough to travel extensively both in America and outside it. So far, I've been to 48 of our 50 illustrious states (you can try and guess the 2 I've yet to reach) and have been to 27 countries, mostly in Europe, but also some in the southern Pacific and in South America.

I've taken many pictures throughout my travels, and I'm happy to share them with you, either to browse or to purchase as prints in my online shop. I hope you'll enjoy them nearly as much as I enjoyed taking them.
